Privacy policy
Your progress. Your trail.
How Suntrail Rangers stores your progress, handles support messages, and uses this website.
Effective 29 September 2026
Suntrail Rangers is developed by @samweel_sedrak. This policy covers the earlier offline six-mission game, the newer iPhone 1.1.0 beta (build 15) with 24 campaign missions and optional Duo Survival, our support correspondence, and this support website. The next iPhone 1.1.0 candidate, build 16, adds a 16+ online age check while retaining every solo mode. Build 16 remains an unreleased iPhone candidate. The Android 1.1.0 (3) update with the same campaign and optional Duo has been submitted to Google Play for closed-test review; it is not yet approved or available to testers. The online sections apply only to versions that include Duo and only when you use its online services. For a privacy question or request, email samweel.sedrak@gmail.com.
Your game progress stays in local storage
Suntrail Rangers saves these records on your device:
- Your sound, music, camera, graphics, aim-assist, haptic-feedback and custom touch-layout settings, selected difficulty, chosen ranger and unlocked skill paths where available.
- Completed missions, which determine unlocked missions and weapons.
- Mission best scores, overall best score and wave records, mission-star ratings for each difficulty, trophies, operation and Duo best records where available, and lifetime eliminations and dashes.
- Workshop parts earned in the game, crafted weapon modifications and the modification equipped for each weapon.
- Collected ranger stories, discovered supply caches and optional scout rescues.
- Selected ranger outfits, weapon colours and camp decorations.
- In the iPhone build 16 candidate and Android Duo update under review, only your online age-eligibility choice: under 16 or 16 or older. No date of birth or precise age is stored, and this choice is not sent to Unity.
Parts are earned through gameplay, without real-money purchases. Mission stars unlock cosmetic rewards using the best star count for each mission across difficulties; stars are not spent or removed when a reward is equipped.
The game does not save an unfinished mission for restoration after the app closes. Current health, ammunition, wave upgrades, and active enemies belong to the running game session.
Earlier offline-only versions have no game accounts or online gameplay. The newer beta adds an anonymous guest only for optional Duo online play. Neither version includes ads, purchases or advertising tracking. Solo campaign records are not uploaded, and there is no game-operated cloud-save service.
The game uses screen dimensions to fit its display and touch controls. It does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, or advertising identifier.
Our intended solo audience includes children, teenagers and adults. Gameplay does not ask for a player's name or email address, and there is no player messaging. The iPhone build 16 candidate and Android Duo update under review ask for an age range only when opening the online mode; that mode is for players aged 16 or older. All solo modes remain available without this choice. Children should ask a parent or guardian to contact support on their behalf. Parents or guardians can use the support address for privacy questions or to request deletion of correspondence involving a child.
Optional Duo Survival in newer versions
Duo adds private two-player online rooms while keeping the 24-mission solo campaign offline. Choosing Create Room or Join Room initializes Unity Gaming Services and signs in an anonymous guest using Unity Authentication. Opening menus or playing solo does not start this game-managed online connection. No email, player name, social account, chat, voice or contact list is requested for Duo.
In the iPhone build 16 candidate and Android update under review, an age-range screen comes before the room controls, with neither range preselected. Under-16 and unanswered choices cannot start online play or initialize its services. Selecting an eligible range still requires a separate Create Room or Join Room action to connect. The choice is stored only on this device. An existing guest can still be deleted through the privacy controls at any age; if no guest is saved, that deletion action does not initialize online services. The current iPhone build 15 beta does not contain this age check; it is planned for build 16.
Unity Authentication, Lobby and Relay process a player identifier, IP address, approximate region, room/session information, engine and package versions, and operational service information to authenticate players, find a connection region and run the room. Movement, aiming and combat state pass through encrypted Relay connections to your teammate. These services operate on Unity's infrastructure. A cached guest sign-in token stays on your device so later rooms can reuse the same identity.
The game has no ads or advertising tracking and does not include the Unity Analytics SDK. Unity's Relay service collects approximate region, online activity and performance information for service analytics and app functionality. These provider-operated analytics are part of online play even without that separate SDK. See Unity's Relay data disclosure for the categories and purposes Unity publishes.
Leaving closes the connection and requests removal from the room, or deletion of the room when the host leaves. Backgrounding the app ends its Duo connection. Live Duo runs are not cloud saves. Unity's Authentication identifier remains until deletion; Unity documents Relay personal-data retention of 30 days and Lobby player identifiers in logs for up to 30 days. See Unity's player privacy policy, Authentication privacy information, Lobby privacy information and Relay privacy information.
Delete your online guest
In a version with Duo, leave your room, then open Settings > Privacy > Co-op data choices > Manage Online Guest. Choose Delete Online Guest and confirm. The game connects only to resume an existing saved guest and request permanent deletion of its Unity Authentication account; it never creates a guest just to delete one. Internet access is required. A failed request shows a message and can be retried. Your local solo progress, settings and saved Duo records remain.
After successful deletion, an eligible player who chooses Create Room or Join Room later creates a new guest. This action does not erase Unity's separately retained service logs, operating-system backups, support correspondence or Apple's TestFlight records. For access or deletion requests concerning service data, or a guest no longer accessible after reinstalling, contact samweel.sedrak@gmail.com. Do not send authentication tokens or passwords.
You can keep playing solo without using Duo. Parents and guardians can review these online data practices and contact support with questions.
You choose what to share with support
If you email samweel.sedrak@gmail.com, the support mailbox receives your sending address, message, and any attachments you include. We use this information to respond to your request and troubleshoot the issue you describe.
The game does not send email or attach your progress or device information automatically. Email is sent and stored through your email provider and the recipient's email provider, whose privacy practices and retention rules also apply.
Support correspondence may remain in the support mailbox. You can email the same address to request deletion of correspondence you have sent. Email providers manage their own backup and retention systems. Please avoid sending passwords, payment details, or unrelated sensitive information.
TestFlight testing is a separate Apple service
If you install a beta through TestFlight, Apple automatically collects crash logs and usage information and shares them with the developer. This can include device and operating-system details, installs, sessions, and invitation information. Feedback you choose to submit through TestFlight, including comments and screenshots, is also shared and may be associated with your name and email address.
We use beta reports to understand problems and improve Suntrail Rangers. TestFlight reports are stored and made available through Apple's service under its retention practices. Feedback you separately send by email is handled as described above. For a privacy request about information received by us, contact the support address; Apple manages its own service records. See Apple's TestFlight & Privacy information for the data involved and Apple's retention practices.
Google Play testing is a separate Google service
If you join an early-access or beta test through Google Play, Google collects and shares certain device and app-usage information and user-triggered events with the developer. Feedback you submit through Play is also available to the developer. We use those reports to improve the game; Google manages its service records under its own privacy practices. The game itself does not automatically send support messages or upload saved solo progress. Optional Duo network data is described separately above. See Google's testing information.
Your choices and device backups
You can change sound, graphics, aim assistance and touch controls in Settings, and choose difficulty and a ranger on the title screen. Haptic feedback is available on supported iPhones; the current Android version does not provide vibration. Expedition Camp lets you choose owned weapon modifications and unlocked cosmetic rewards. Starting a new mission replaces the current run; it does not erase earned progress, discoveries or your best records.
Deleting the installed app removes its local game data. Clearing the app's storage on Android also removes local records. Offloading an app on iPhone can retain its data. Copies may remain in device or cloud backups, and restoring a backup may restore game progress.
Your operating system and backup provider determine whether app data is backed up, restored, or retained. Manage those copies through your device and backup settings. Suntrail Rangers does not control those systems or provide a separate account-based backup. Apple explains app-data backups in What does iCloud back up?
On Android, app data may be included in device backups and restored depending on your Android version, device, app support and backup settings. Google or your device provider manages those copies. See Google's Android backup guide.
